On the seventh day of summer...

My true love, kids and me (I),
Finished level one of the new wall,
Played hockey,
Went swimming,
And attended the OM CD Release party!!

On the sixth day of summer...

My true love, kids, and me (I)
Visited Polson Park's water park (brrrrrrrrr)
And picked up Daddy's motorcycle where
Fraser dreamed about riding a quad.

Then came home to do more work on the yard!

On the fifth day of summer...

My true love, kids and me (I),
went to Kelowna for hockey, swimming
and a trip to the beach.

Then I had to dig up all my perennials
to facilitate a yard levelling with the
neighbours new house build.

This pic is from when I first planted this garden and they were all babies...they are much more established and blooming now - I hope I haven't killed them by digging them up. :(  

More gardening tomorrow.

On the fourth day of summer...

My true love, kids and me (I),
Watched four MORE intense rain storms pass through.

(We have had THE coldest and wettest spring/summer 
EVER, and would like to trade some of our cold and 
wet for some of the hot and dry our eastern and southern
neighbours are experiencing!  Come on Mother Nature, 
let's aim for a little balance here, OK?)

On the third day of summer...

My true love, kids and me (I),
Did three months worth of overdue housework!

On the second day of summer...

My true love, kids and me (I),

Went to TWO Canada day celebrations!

And, enjoyed a stay-cation camp out in the back yard!!

On the first day of summer...

My true love, kids and me (I),

Went to the public lib'ry!

And, hiking on the BX Creek trail.

Ahhhhhhh.......summer!!!

We Got Annie!

Powerhouse Theatre is producing "Annie" in the fall, and auditions have already been held.  I have the good fortune of getting to play Miss Hannigan with my daughter, Shaughnessy, who will be an orphan.  She is in the running for the title role, which will be announced after the summer.  They won't be able to cast an orphan who is taller than Grace Farrell who in this production is only 5'4.  Either way, she'll be amazing and we'll have a blast together!!  Now... (I know, I've said it before, but here I am, saying it again) time to shed these extra pounds which only look WORSE on stage.  Here's to a fun and fit summer holiday.
